Cryogenic operations for quantum labs

Colder than space.
Watched around the clock.

Monitoring and field service for dilution refrigerators, from engineers who have spent fifteen years keeping superconducting magnets cold.

Scroll to look inside

First, we find out what
your fridge already watches.

Every manufacturer's software logs something different, and every lab has wired its alerts differently. Before we sell anything, we visit, read what your control PC actually sees, read the compressor directly, and write down the gaps: the chiller, the mains, the PC itself, and who gets the call at 1 AM. The assessment is free and you keep the write-up.

01Gen 1 · Gen 2 · DECSControl softwareWhat it logs, what it alarms on, and who actually receives those alarms today. Written down, not assumed.
02Modbus · serialCompressorPressures, oil and coolant temperature, motor current, run hours and fault state, read straight from the controller and compared with what your software shows.
03In / out ΔTCooling waterThe chiller loop and its interlock margin — the part upstream of the compressor that no fridge software sees.
04Loss · sagMains powerWhat happens to logging and alerts when the control PC goes dark, and whether anyone finds out.
051 AMThe call chainWho finds out, how fast, and what happened the last time the fridge warmed up unplanned.

Monitoring and service

One partner for the layer around the fridge.

Watch it.

A vendor-agnostic gateway, one per fridge, now in pilot on the first Texas fridges. It reads the compressor, the water, the power and your stage thermometry alongside your manufacturer's software, then calls a phone until someone answers. Read-only. Outbound-only, or fully on-prem.

About the pilot ›

Fix it.

Remote triage, an annual PM on everything outside the dilution unit — pumps, adsorbers, helium-4, leak checks, chillers, compressor swaps — and a 48-hour on-site commitment across Texas and New Mexico.

Who it's for

Built for the labs the manufacturers are far from.

No dilution-refrigerator manufacturer has a service office in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana or New Mexico. We are in Austin.

University labs

One fridge, one grad student on cooldown duty, and a grant that ends. Priced under the no-bid line so a PI can buy it without a procurement cycle.

Shared facilities and national labs

Mixed-vendor fleets, air-gapped networks and a facility manager who is the only person who knows every fridge. A fleet view, with a fully on-prem mode.

Quantum startups

Renting fridge time or running your first system, with no cryo technician yet. Monitoring and a regional engineer at a fraction of one hire.

Works with, read-only, no manufacturer permission required

  • Bluefors (Cryomech CPA compressors)
  • Bluefors Control, Gen 1 logs and Gen 2 API
  • Oxford / Quantum Design (Sumitomo F-70)
  • Oxford Triton and DECS
  • Lake Shore 372 and 350
  • Chiller and mains sensors of our own

Company

From MRI magnets to millikelvin.

Entangled Scientific was started in Austin by [FOUNDER NAME]: fifteen years as a field engineer keeping 1.5 T and 3 T superconducting MRI magnets cold, Sumitomo compressors every week, and founder of an independent imaging service company that grew to multi-million revenue in its first three years.

The dilution refrigerator is new territory. The compressor, the vacuum, the helium, the chiller and the 2 AM phone call are not.

We are a cryogenic operations company. Dilution refrigerators are the first thing we serve, not the last: the same gateway and the same hands apply to NMR magnets and 4 K cryocoolers across campus.

Running a
dilution fridge?

We are talking with twenty labs before we build production hardware. If you keep a fridge cold in Texas or New Mexico, we'd like twenty minutes — and in return we'll come out and assess what your fridge already watches, what it doesn't, and what the compressor is telling you.
